Pelindo Prioritises Services for KM Virgo Victims
Banjarmasin (ANTARA) - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 3 Sub Regional Kalimantan is providing priority services to the victims of KM Virgo Transport 8 as part of its support for the evacuation process.
“We have prepared a special room for victims to receive medical examinations and services upon arrival at Trisakti Port,” said the General Manager of Trisakti Port, Ari Sudarono, in Banjarmasin on Sunday.
Following arrival, handling processes will be carried out by relevant agencies and stakeholders.
The special room in the passenger terminal building is equipped with supporting facilities, including velbeds, to assist with health examinations as required on the ground.
Pelindo previously assisted in setting up a search post to serve as a support facility for inter-agency coordination, providing equipment such as desks, chairs, televisions, fans, information boards, and computer installations.
All these facilities have been prepared to ensure smooth coordination and handling throughout the search and evacuation process.
“We will continue to assist relevant agencies and coordinate with stakeholders according to the needs on the ground,” added Ari.
