Pelindo Oversees Teluk Lamong Flyover Readiness to Strengthen East Java Logistics

State-owned port operator PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero), through its subsidiary PT Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva, is overseeing the operational preparations for the Teluk Lamong flyover (FOTL) following the completion of its physical construction. The infrastructure is intended to strengthen connectivity and facilitate the flow of logistics in East Java. Senior Vice President of the Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva (PSL) Secretariat, Dewi Fitriyani, stated that the company continues to support the strengthening of port-based strategic area connectivity to facilitate the flow of goods, enhance regional integration, and increase regional competitiveness. “One of the strategic infrastructures currently entering the operational preparation stage is the Teluk Lamong flyover, which has been physically completed. This is a connectivity infrastructure that links the Teluk Lamong Terminal with the surrounding main road network,” Dewi said in a statement in Jakarta on Monday. The infrastructure has reached 100 percent physical progress and is now in the operational preparation stage before it can be fully utilised to support the smooth running of logistics and port activities in East Java. Dewi explained that the development of the FOTL is part of efforts to strengthen the connection between the port, industrial estates, distribution centres, and the main transportation network. Integrated connectivity is considered a crucial factor in creating efficient goods movement, reducing logistical barriers, and supporting supply chain fluidity in the port’s hinterland. As a Pelindo subsidiary focused on port support services and integrated area development, PSL, through its business entity PT Akses Pelabuhan Indonesia (API), is supporting the pre-operational readiness of the Teluk Lamong flyover. This support is provided by ensuring that all technical, operational, safety, and governance aspects of the FOTL have been prepared in accordance with established standards before the infrastructure officially operates. “In the future, the FOTL is also planned to be integrated with the West Outer Ring Road (JLLB), the Gelora Bung Tomo access, and the Romokalisari Toll Road,” she revealed. This integration is expected to strengthen hinterland connectivity, support the smooth distribution of goods, and improve the efficiency of logistics movement in the East Java region and its surroundings. Dewi stated that the development of connectivity to the port area is a crucial element in creating an integrated and value-added port ecosystem. Furthermore, the construction of this access infrastructure has been long awaited by service users as it will facilitate access to the Teluk Lamong Port, which currently experiences very heavy traffic. “The port does not only function as a transportation node, but also as a driver of regional growth,” she asserted. Therefore, Dewi continued, the company continues to support the development of infrastructure and connectivity that strengthens the integration of the port area with industrial, trade, and port service activities, thereby creating sustainable added value for the national and regional economy. She added that the company will continue to support the development of port-based regional connectivity through collaboration with various stakeholders.
