Pelindo Multi Terminal on Alert for Eid, Ensuring Smooth Logistics and Passenger Flow

Jakarta (ANTARA) – PT Pelindo Multi Terminal (SPMT), a subholding of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) operating in non-container terminal services, has ensured operational readiness across all its managed terminals to face the 2026 Eid Transport Period, supporting the smooth flow of logistics and public mobility during the homecoming and return phases.

VP of Corporate Communications for Pelindo Multi Terminal, Farid Chairmawan, stated that the company has prepared various operational measures to ensure all port services run optimally during that period.

“We ensure that all port services continue to operate fully during the 2026 Eid Transport Period. Our terminal operations are on standby 24 hours a day to support the smooth flow of goods and passenger mobility, particularly in distributing strategic commodities needed by the public before and after Eid al-Fitr,” said Farid.

Pelindo Multi Terminal has undertaken various preparatory steps to ensure smooth operations during the Eid period, including facility and equipment checks, staff readiness, and strengthened coordination with all stakeholders. Traffic flow management, provision of buffer areas, and vehicle activity handling are also implemented to anticipate congestion in port areas.

Additionally, the company ensures readiness of passenger terminal services and supports the operations of the Eid Transport Post coordinated by the Ministry of Transportation as a centre for information and oversight during the homecoming and return phases. All non-container terminal services, from dry bulk, liquid bulk, general cargo, to vehicle terminals, will continue to operate optimally to maintain the smooth national logistics distribution.
