Pelindo Multi Terminal Ensures Smooth Logistics Flow During Eid Return Travel

Medan (ANTARA) - PT Pelindo Multi Terminal (SPMT) has ensured operational readiness at all ports under its management to face the 2026 Eid transportation period, supporting the smooth flow of logistics and public mobility during the homecoming and return phases.

Corporate Communications VP of Pelindo Multi Terminal, Farid Chairmawan, in Medan on Friday, stated that the company has prepared various operational measures to ensure all port services run optimally during this period.

“We ensure that all port services remain fully operational during the 2026 Eid transportation period. Our terminals are on standby 24 hours a day to support the smooth flow of goods and passenger mobility, particularly in distributing strategic commodities needed by the public before and after Eid al-Fitr,” he said.

Pelindo Multi Terminal has undertaken various preparation steps to ensure smooth operations during the Eid period, including checking facilities and equipment, staff readiness, and strengthening coordination with all stakeholders.

Additionally, the company ensures readiness of passenger terminal services and supports the operations of the Eid Transportation Post coordinated by the Ministry of Transportation as a centre for information and oversight during the homecoming and return periods.

All non-container terminal services, from dry bulk, liquid bulk, general cargo, to vehicle terminals, will continue to operate optimally to maintain the smooth national logistics distribution.

As part of the national logistics ecosystem, Pelindo Multi Terminal is committed to maintaining supply chain continuity, especially during moments of increased logistics activity and public mobility ahead of Eid al-Fitr.
