Pelindo Multi Terminal: Cargo throughput reaches 59.59 million tonnes in first half
PT Pelindo Multi Terminal, a subsidiary of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero), recorded cargo throughput of 59.59 million tonnes or cubic metres during the first half of 2026, driven by increased loading and unloading of various commodities and strengthened terminal operational services.
“The continuously growing operational performance is part of strengthening the company’s business fundamentals in supporting the smooth flow of logistics and national trade activities,” said Pelindo Multi Terminal Corporate Secretariat SVP Finan Syaifullah in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday.
He said the company posted positive growth for cargo loading and unloading flows during the first half of 2026. Total cargo handled reached 59.59 million tonnes, growing 10.85 percent compared to the same period the previous year.
The growth was supported by increases in a number of main commodity segments. General and bag cargo flows were recorded at 14.56 million tonnes, up from 13.72 million tonnes in 2025, or growth of 6.11 percent.
Meanwhile, liquid bulk commodities reached 14.41 million tonnes, up from 13.34 million tonnes in the same period last year, or growth of 7.97 percent.
The dry bulk segment recorded significant growth with a realisation of 30.63 million tonnes, up from 26.69 million tonnes in 2025, or growth of 14.74 percent. Gas commodity flows reached 8.12 million MMBTU, up from 7.77 million MMBTU, or growth of 4.49 percent.
“This achievement is a reflection of Pelindo Multi Terminal’s continuous efforts to strengthen service quality, increase operational effectiveness, and deliver increasingly reliable and competitive non-container terminal management,” said Finan.
Finan further said the performance improvement was inseparable from the company’s consistency in carrying out operational transformation through strengthening business processes, human resources, technology, equipment, infrastructure, and the implementation of health, safety, security, and environment (HSSE) standards.
