Pelindo Appoints Ubaidillah Amin and Hambra as Commissioners

PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero), or Pelindo, has appointed Ubaidillah Amin and Hambra Samal as members of the Board of Commissioners. The appointment of both individuals becomes effective from 27 July 2026 as part of an initiative to strengthen the company’s supervisory structure.

According to the company’s information disclosure, the decision was made through the General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPS) Decision Number 355 of 2026 and Decree Number SK.124/DI-DAM/DU/2026. The changes to the composition of the commissioners have also been reported to the Financial Services Authority (OJK).

For Pelindo, Ubaidillah Amin, also known as Gus Ubaiment, is a familiar figure. The young Nahdlatul Ulama figure from East Java previously served as Commissioner of PT Terminal Petikemas Surabaya (TPS) from 2019 to 2021 and Commissioner of PT Pelindo Terminal Petikemas (SPTP) from 2021 to 2023. In addition to his experience in the port sector, Ubaidillah has an extensive track record in government. He currently serves as a Special Staff member to the Minister of Finance, Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa.

His previous government roles include serving on the Special Team for the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs (2015-2016), the Special Team for the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs (2016-2019), Special Staff to the Minister of Religious Affairs (2019-2020), and Technical Staff to the Minister of Health since 2021. He is also an advisor to the Archipelagic and Island States (AIS) Forum. Academically, Ubaid completed a Master of Law and Development at Airlangga University in 2023. He studied at Al Azhar University from 2004 to 2008 and is currently pursuing a Doctoral programme in Law and Development at Airlangga University.

Meanwhile, Hambra Samal currently serves as a Deputy at the State-Owned Enterprises Management Agency (BP BUMN). He previously held positions within the Ministry of SOEs and has also served on the board of directors at Pelindo. Hambra holds a Bachelor of Laws from Pattimura University, Ambon, and completed a Master of Humanities at Gadjah Mada University in 2010.

Pelindo’s Group Head of Corporate Secretary, Ali Sodikin, stated that the term of office for both members of the Board of Commissioners begins on 27 July 2026. “The term of office for the members of the Board of Commissioners as referred to starts from 27 July 2026,” Ali noted in the company’s information disclosure.
