Pekanbaru Mayor Agung Nugroho visited Tuah Madani District as part of the Ramadan Safari 1447 Hijriah on Tuesday, 24 February 2026. Residents welcomed the Mayor at Al Muhajirin Mosque, Jalan Taman Karya.

Agung Nugroho was accompanied by his deputy Markarius Anwar, along with the Chairperson of Pekanbaru’s Regional Representative Council, M Isa Lahamid, and the Chairperson of the Municipal Mothers Association (TP PKK), Sulastri Agung.

The Mayor’s visit aimed to provide residents with an opportunity to express their aspirations regarding issues facing Pekanbaru. In addition, Agung distributed assistance to residents and contributed to the development of Al Muhajirin Mosque.

The assistance comprised 100 million rupiahs and a 43-inch Smart TV to support the free WiFi programme in the Tuah Madani area. There was also assistance through a partnership programme from Bank Riau Kepri in collaboration with the Pekanbaru City Government.

The Mayor further distributed assistance through the Pekanbaru Cares Programme via Baznas, including zakat donations for the needy and educational scholarships through collaboration with the Municipal Education Office’s Zakat Management Unit (UPZ).

“We also provided wheelchairs for residents in need,” Agung said.

The Ramadan Safari agenda will run for 20 days this year. Agung invited the community to participate in supporting the municipal development programme. He outlined several achievements of the city government’s programmes across various sectors.

“We are working to resolve city problems gradually, whether in the fields of education, health, community welfare, infrastructure, and waste management,” he said.
