Pekalongan Vice Regent Appointed Acting Regent, Replacing Fadia After KPK Arrest
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Deputy Minister of Home Affairs (Wamendagri) Bima Arya Sugiarto said Pekalongan Vice Regent Sukirman has been appointed as Acting Regent of Pekalongan. Sukirman replaces Fadia Arafiq who was arrested by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
“Yesterday the Minister of Home Affairs sent a radiogram to the Governor of Central Java, appointing the Vice Regent as the acting official to run the administration in Pekalongan Regency,” Bima Arya told reporters, Thursday (5 March 2026).
Bima Arya reminded that becoming a regional head is service, not a means of livelihood. He also urged all regional heads to contribute, not to enrich themselves.
Previously, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) designated Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq as a suspect in a case of alleged corruption in outsourcing service procurement and other procurements in Pekalongan Regency for fiscal year 2023-2026.
KPK Deputy for Enforcement and Execution Asep Guntur Rahayu said the suspect status was established on the basis of sufficient evidence.
Fadia Arafiq was initially caught in an OTT (Operation Tangkap Tangan) in Semarang, Central Java, on Tuesday (3 March 2026).
‘KPK has elevated the matter to the investigation stage, naming one person as a suspect, namely FAR (Fadia Arafiq) as Pekalongan Regent for the 2025-2030 period,’ Asep said at a press conference at the Merah Putih Building, Jakarta, on Wednesday (4 March 2026).
Asep said the case began when Farida Arafiq, who had been Pekalongan Governor? No, Bupati Pekalongan for only one year of the 2021-2025 period, founded a company with her husband who was also a member of the House of Representatives (DPR RI), Mukhtaruddin Ashraff Abu, and her son, also a member of Pekalongan’s DPRD, Muhammad Sabiq Ashraff, named PT RNB (Raja Nusantara Berjaya).
PT RNB is a company engaged in providing services and is actively involved as a vendor in the procurement of goods and services (PBJ) within the Pekalongan Regency government.
Then in 2024, Fadia replaced the position of Director of PT RNB with her trusted person named Rul Bayatun.
‘After a year of operation, throughout 2023-2026, PT RNB is known to have secured outsourcing service procurement contracts in several Regional Apparatuses (Perangkat Daerah) of the Pekalongan Regency government,’ he said.
Asep said that during that period, Fadia Arafiq through her son Muhammad Sabiq Ashraff and her associates allegedly intervened with the heads of departments to win PT RNB for outsourcing service procurement in several departments, districts, and even the Regional Public Hospital (RSUD) in Pekalongan Regency.
Asep stated that every regional device that would conduct procurement was asked to submit the Harga Perkiraan Sendiri (HPS) to PT RNB at the outset, so that PT RNB could adjust its bid to approach the HPS figure.
‘That violates procedures in the procurement of goods and services,’ he said.
