Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq Seen Wearing KPK Detention Vest
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq wore a KPK detention vest after being swept up in an arrest operation by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in Semarang, Central Java.
According to Kompas.com’s observations on Wednesday (4 March 2026) afternoon, Fadia was already wearing the detention vest when she was escorted by KPK officers from the second floor of the examination room to the detainees’ vehicle.
In addition to the vest, Fadia wore a black veil that partially covered her face.
As she was being led to the detainees’ vehicle, she denied being caught in a KPK arrest operation.
Fadia said she was arrested by KPK officers at a house while she was with Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi.
She again denied being involved in a covert anti-corruption operation.
“She’s with the Central Java governor, so I wasn’t involved in any arrest operation and there isn’t a single rupiah involved, by Allah there isn’t,” she said.
Fadia said she met Luthfi to discuss permission not to attend the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG) event.
“I wasn’t discussing permission because I couldn’t attend the MBG event,” she said.
“No, I didn’t participate, it’s not mine, I never participated. It was a company owned by my family, not mine,” Fadia added.
Fadia will discuss with her legal team to file a pretrial lawsuit regarding the alleged corruption case she is facing.
“Well I will discuss with my lawyer, because by Allah there is no arrest operation involving any money, not even a single rupiah, and there is no head of department involved,” she said.
