Pegatron Subsidiary Officially Opens Manufacturing Plant in Batam's Batamindo Industrial Estate
Batam — The presence of PT Pegaunihan Technology Indonesia in the Batamindo Industrial Estate, Muka Kuning, officially commenced with a grand opening ceremony on Thursday (24/04/2025). The event was marked by a ribbon-cutting by the Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration and Corrections, Yusril Ihza Mahendra.
Batam Mayor Amsakar Achmad, represented by Batam City Secretary Jefridin, expressed his appreciation and full support for the establishment of the company. "On behalf of the Batam City Government and the Mayor of Batam, we congratulate PT Pegaunihan Technology Indonesia on its grand opening. We hope it will make a tangible contribution to industrial growth and the welfare of the people of Batam," said Jefridin.
PT Pegaunihan Technology Indonesia is a subsidiary of Pegatron, a global company engaged in electronics design and manufacturing. Its business encompasses 3C products (computers, communications and consumer electronics), household appliances such as LCD televisions, LED lighting, and home decoration devices.
Beyond production, the company is also actively forging strategic collaborations, including a partnership with Telkomsel in the development of smart manufacturing technology.
"The presence of this company has opened up employment opportunities for local residents and strengthened Batam's position as a national electronics industry hub," Jefridin continued, who was accompanied by the Head of the Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency, Reza Khadafi.
Jefridin also affirmed that the Batam City Government, together with the Batam Authority (BP Batam), remains committed to creating a conducive investment climate. Various facilitations are provided through integrated online licensing service systems such as OSS (Online Single Submission) and IBOSS (Indonesia Batam Online Single Submission).
"Investors can now process their permits quickly, easily and transparently. These services can be accessed online or in person at the Public Service Mall in the Sumatera Promotion Centre building," he concluded.
