PT Pegadaian (Persero) has successfully organised the Tring Golden Run 2026, which was participated in by more than 8,000 entrants. This running event also served as the inaugural occasion for Pegadaian to provide donations to Indonesian athletes amounting to IDR 1.25 billion.

The Chairman of PT Pegadaian, A. M. Putranto, stated that the activity serves as a medium for educating the public on gold investment. According to him, gold remains a favoured investment instrument in various economic conditions.

“The implementation of this is for socialising how we invest through gold,” said Putranto during the Tring Golden Run 2026 event at the East Senayan Car Park, Jakarta, on Sunday (26/4/2026).

Putranto emphasised that gold investment is increasingly relevant for both short-term and long-term horizons. Therefore, Pegadaian invites the public to start investing for a better financial future.

On that occasion, Pegadaian also distributed donations of IDR 1.25 billion to athletes with disabilities, those from underprivileged backgrounds, and individuals with special needs. This assistance was given to five national sports organisations.

The President Director of Pegadaian, Damar Latri Setiawan, stated that this step is part of the company’s commitment to implementing ESG programmes, particularly the social aspect.

“Pegadaian’s business growth must go hand in hand with tangible contributions to society,” said Damar.

He hopes that the Tring Golden Run will not only promote a healthy lifestyle but also enhance financial literacy and social awareness. This aligns with the company’s commitment to continuously “packaging Indonesia”.

The sports organisations receiving the assistance are Special Olympics Indonesia (SOIna), Yayasan Atlet Tunagrahita, Perhimpunan Olahraga Tunarungu Indonesia (Porturin), Persatuan Sepak Bola Amputasi Indonesia, Persatuan Atletik Seluruh Indonesia (PASI), and Aquatic Indonesia.

The Director of Marketing, Sales, and Product Development at Pegadaian, Selfie Dewi Yanuar, explained that the Tring Golden Run is part of efforts to expand digital financial literacy. The company continues to encourage conventional customers to switch to digital services via the Tring by Pegadaian application.

“Gold investment at Pegadaian is very affordable, starting from IDR 10,000,” she said.
