Pegadaian's 2026 Mass Circumcision Programme Assists 500 Underprivileged Children
PT Pegadaian (Persero) has once again demonstrated its commitment to improving the quality of life for the community by organising a 2026 Mass Circumcision programme. The social initiative provided free, safe, and high-quality healthcare services to 500 children from underprivileged families and communities residing near the Pegadaian Head Office.
The 2026 Mass Circumcision event was held in the Ballroom area of Pegadaian Tower on Monday (22/6). This step is part of the company’s Environmental and Social Responsibility (TJSL) programme, focused on improving public health and welfare, particularly for children as the nation’s future generation.
This mass circumcision event represents a form of the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) commitment strongly upheld by Pegadaian, especially in strengthening the social aspect. By providing inclusive and equitable medical access, Pegadaian actively contributes to supporting the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) Number 3, Good Health and Well-being.
PT Pegadaian’s Director of Network and Operations, Eka Pebriansyah, explained that this mass circumcision activity is tangible proof that Pegadaian does not solely focus on business. The company also continuously strives to be present for the improvement of community welfare, particularly in fulfilling children’s right to health from an early age, as a crucial long-term social investment for the nation’s future.
“This mass circumcision is proof of Pegadaian’s sincere and ongoing commitment to being present and bringing real benefits to the community. As a company undergoing modern transformation, we want to ensure that strengthening ESG and TJSL aspects is not merely an administrative formality, but a real action that touches the fundamental needs of underprivileged communities,” he stated in a release, quoted on Tuesday (23/6/2026).
He said that Pegadaian hopes these healthcare facilities can help children grow up healthier and happier as they face their future.
This activity was successfully realised thanks to solid and collaborative synergy between Pegadaian, a team of medical professionals, implementing partners, and the local government, particularly the Senen District, which provided full support from the preparation stage. The active involvement of expert doctors and nurses ensured that the entire circumcision procedure was conducted according to strict, hygienic, and child-friendly medical operational standards.
Through this integrated collaboration, Pegadaian not only ensured the event ran safely and smoothly but also sought to create a sustainable positive social impact for the wider community.
