Pegadaian Regional Office VIII Jakarta 1 Sends Off 500 Mudik Participants for Free
In preparation for Eid al-Fitr 1447 H, PT Pegadaian, through its Regional Office VIII Jakarta 1, has organised the “Mudik Aman Berbagi Harapan 2026” programme as part of its support for the BUMN Free Mudik initiative. This programme embodies Pegadaian’s commitment to providing real benefits to the community through safe, comfortable, and well-organised mudik facilities.
The departure event for mudik participants took place on 16 March 2026 at the Pegadaian Kramatjati Area Office in East Jakarta, with a total of 500 mudik participants being transported using bus fleets to various cities on Java island, such as Semarang, Solo, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Madiun, and Purwokerto. The participants also received various supporting facilities, including T-shirts, goodie bags, travel provisions, and other equipment to enhance comfort during the journey.
The event was attended by Pegadaian’s board members, including Ferdian Timur Satyagraha, Eka Pebriansyah, Ismail Ilyas, Yos Imam Jaya Dappu, and Dede Kurniawan. Representatives from the government and local authorities, such as Endang Kartika Wahyuningsih and Rico Eka Putra Rifai, were also present.
Pegadaian’s Director of Network and Operations, Eka Pebriansyah, stated that this mudik programme is held annually with an updated theme each year. “This year, it carries the theme Mudik Aman Berbagi Harapan, with the hope that the mudik participants can travel safely and return in better condition,” he said.
He also explained that nationally, Pegadaian has prepared a total of 84 transport fleets, consisting of 78 buses, 5 sea vessels, and train services reaching various regions in Indonesia, from Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan, Sulawesi to Nusa Tenggara and Manado. Specifically in Jakarta, departures are from two points: Pegadaian Kebon Nanas and Universitas Budi Luhur, with about 10 buses for 500 mudik participants.
The programme is supported by thorough preparations, from planning quotas and routes, coordination with relevant agencies, to participant registration and verification processes. On the departure day, activities began with re-registration, ticket exchange for identity bracelets, and distribution of merchandise to participants.
Jatinegara Sub-District Head, Endang Kartika Wahyuningsih, expressed appreciation for the programme’s implementation. According to her, Pegadaian’s presence not only helps the community’s financial needs but also provides tangible social benefits. “We hope all participants can depart in good health and arrive at their destinations safely,” she said.
Regional Leader VIII Jakarta 1 of PT Pegadaian, Dede Kurniawan, added that this programme is a form of the company’s commitment to remain present among the community. He hopes this programme can bring happiness to mudik participants who wish to celebrate Eid al-Fitr with their families in their hometowns.
The series of activities concluded with the departure procession and bus send-off, marking the start of the participants’ journeys to their respective destinations. Through this programme, Pegadaian not only supports the smooth flow of national mudik but also strengthens its role as a BUMN delivering sustainable social benefits to the community.
