Pegadaian Provides Aid for Mosque in Ambalawi on May Day
To commemorate International Labour Day, PT Pegadaian, through its Rasanae branch, demonstrated its commitment to supporting community welfare via its Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) programme.
Pegadaian Rasanae distributed aid to Masjid Uswatun Hasanah, located in Nipa, Ambalawi Subdistrict, Bima Regency. The aid was handed over directly by the Rasanae Branch Leader, Taufikurrahman, to the Mosque Committee Chairman and Management, witnessed by the entire congregation after Friday prayers on 1 May.
This aid distribution is part of Pegadaian’s efforts to remain present among the community, not only as a financial institution but also as a company with social concern for its surroundings.
“The aid provided is hoped to support improvements in worship facilities and provide comfort for the community in carrying out religious activities at Masjid Uswatun Hasanah. Additionally, this activity serves as a tangible form of Pegadaian’s contribution to strengthening harmonious relations with the community,” stated Taufikurrahman in an official statement on Monday (4 May 2026).
Through this TJSL programme, Pegadaian consistently delivers various social initiatives with direct impact, ranging from aid for worship facilities, support for underprivileged communities, to community empowerment activities. This programme aligns with the company’s commitment to contributing to social development and improving community quality of life.
The management of Masjid Uswatun Hasanah expressed appreciation for the aid given. They hope that synergy between Pegadaian and the community can continue to be established and provide sustainable benefits for the surrounding environment.
On a separate occasion, Deputy Business Area Pegadaian Bima / Sumbawa Island, Mustofa, stated that this programme is part of Pegadaian’s ongoing efforts to deliver real benefits to the community.
“With the Pegadaian Peduli programme, we want to ensure that Pegadaian’s presence is felt not only through financial services but also through social contributions that directly touch community needs, including the development of worship facilities. We hope this aid can provide long-term benefits and strengthen togetherness and the spirit of mutual cooperation in the community,” said Mustofa.
With the spirit of EMASing Indonesia, Pegadaian is committed to continuously expanding the reach of its TJSL programme so that the benefits felt are increasingly widespread and equitable, and can create sustainable social impacts for the community.
