Pegadaian Praya Supports School Infrastructure Development and Introduces Gold Investment Early

PT Pegadaian (Persero) Praya branch has once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting community development through its Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) programme. The company provided building materials to support the construction of a new classroom at the Insan Tangkas Foundation in Batukliang District, Central Lombok Regency. The assistance was handed over directly by the Head of PT Pegadaian Praya Branch, Gunaji Agus Wibowo, along with staff members, in May 2026. The foundation, teachers, and parents welcomed the initiative, hoping the new classroom would create a more comfortable and conducive learning environment for students. Gunaji Agus Wibowo stated that the aid is part of Pegadaian’s commitment to improving the quality of education, a key pillar of its TJSL programme. He noted that Pegadaian is not only focused on business services but also bears a social responsibility to contribute to the nation’s intellectual development. He expressed hope that the material assistance would accelerate the construction of the classroom so that children can learn in better facilities. He added that investment in education is a long-term investment that will produce a quality generation capable of competing in the future. In addition to providing aid, the Pegadaian team also educated parents about financial literacy and early investment. During the session, they introduced various flagship products, such as gold instalment plans, gold savings, and gold lotteries, which can serve as safe and affordable solutions for financial planning. The parents showed high enthusiasm, actively discussing the benefits of gold investment as a relatively stable instrument for preparing for future needs, including children’s education costs. Gunaji explained that improving financial literacy is a key part of Pegadaian Praya’s efforts to encourage the community, particularly in Central Lombok, to manage their finances more wisely.
