Pegadaian Medan Promotes Tring App to Simplify Customer Services
PT Pegadaian Kantor Wilayah I Medan is intensifying the use of the Pegadaian Tring application to facilitate customer access to services, including digital transactions. “Tring is designed to simplify digital services for all levels of society and adapt to conditions on the ground,” said Yohanis Wulang, Regional Head of PT Pegadaian Kantor Wilayah I Medan, in Medan on Wednesday. Yohanis stated that the security system of the Tring application is continuously being strengthened to minimise the risk of breaches by irresponsible parties. However, he reminded customers that they must still safeguard their personal data, such as passwords and OTP codes. Pegadaian is not responsible for losses arising from customer negligence in providing such data to other parties. “For this reason, we continue to educate the public not to give out passwords carelessly, even to Pegadaian employees,” he said. He noted that Pegadaian’s product variety is now more comprehensive, making it easier for the public to access financing and investment services. Pegadaian recorded that the number of Tring customers in Aceh and North Sumatra reached 427,800, with a transaction frequency of 1.90 million times. Meanwhile, the number of active customers reached 1.79 million, an increase of 36.3 per cent year-on-year. The number of gold savings customers was recorded at 663,000, and financing customers totalled 1.12 million. “We hope that with Tring and the improvement of Pegadaian’s services, customers will install the application so they can access services more easily,” he said. Regarding the recent downward trend in gold prices, Yohanis encouraged the public to take advantage of the momentum to invest in gold. He also assured that any issues with the Tring application would be promptly addressed to ensure services to customers continue to run smoothly.
