PT Pegadaian (Persero) has strengthened its social commitment by organising free mass circumcision, health examinations, and various simultaneous social service activities across all its regional offices in the country.

“This morning, the first series of activities carried out is mass circumcision. This activity is being conducted simultaneously in all Pegadaian regions. We have 12 regional offices from Medan to Papua and also at the head office. So far, we have allocated around 2,600 participants to take part in the mass circumcision,” said PT Pegadaian (Persero) Director of Network and Operations Eka Pebriansyah at the Jakarta 1 Regional Office VIII in Central Jakarta on Sunday.

In addition to free circumcision, Pegadaian also provided health check-up services for the general public, customers, and retired employees. The event also included social assistance in the form of donations to orphanages and other social programmes to commemorate major religious holidays.

Eka noted that public enthusiasm for the free circumcision programme was very high. Around 150 participants attended the activity at the Pegadaian Jakarta 1 Regional Office VIII. “For Jakarta 1, the number is around 150 participants. The enthusiasm is quite high. Due to space limitations, registrants who did not make it into today’s quota will be accommodated tomorrow, Monday, at the head office,” Eka said.

According to Eka, the high level of public interest meant the available quota at the location was quickly filled. Because of the venue’s limited capacity, participants who could not be accommodated will be transferred to the next session held at Pegadaian’s Head Office. Pegadaian is still opening registration for the mass circumcision at the head office until it reaches 520 people.

To ensure the safety and comfort of participants, Pegadaian involved a team of professional doctors in the mass circumcision. “In Regional Office VIII Jakarta 1, there are 10 doctors to handle 150 participants. Meanwhile, at the head office, with more than 500 participants, the number of medical personnel will certainly be increased as needed,” Eka stated.

Each participant also received a health supply package, or goody bag, which can be used during the recovery period. Additionally, Pegadaian and the medical team provided consultation services through a special communication group that allows participants and parents to consult before and after the circumcision procedure.

The social activities carried out in June 2026 are part of a routine programme. This programme is part of the company’s commitment to providing added value to the community.
