Pegadaian Holds 2026 Mass Circumcision for 500 Children
PT Pegadaian (Persero) has once again demonstrated tangible concern for improving the quality of life in the community by organising the 2026 Mass Circumcision Programme in the Ballroom of Pegadaian Tower on Monday, 22 June 2026. This social initiative, providing free, safe, and high-quality healthcare services, targeted 500 children from underprivileged families and communities residing around the Pegadaian Head Office area. The effort is part of the company’s Social and Environmental Responsibility programme, focused on enhancing public health and welfare, particularly for children as the nation’s future generation. The mass circumcision event represents a form of the Environmental, Social, and Governance commitment strongly upheld by Pegadaian, especially in strengthening the social aspect. By providing inclusive and equitable medical access, Pegadaian actively contributes to supporting the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal number 3, Good Health and Well-being. PT Pegadaian’s Director of Network and Operations, Eka Pebriansyah, stated that the mass circumcision activity is tangible proof that Pegadaian is not solely focused on business, but also continuously strives to be present for the improvement of community welfare, particularly in fulfilling children’s right to early health as a crucial long-term social investment for the nation’s future. ‘This mass circumcision is proof of Pegadaian’s ongoing sincere commitment to always be present and bring real benefits to the community,’ Eka said. As a company undergoing modern transformation, Eka continued, Pegadaian wants to ensure that strengthening ESG and TJSL aspects is not merely an administrative complement, but a real action that touches the fundamental needs of underprivileged communities. ‘We hope the healthcare services we facilitate can help children grow healthier and happier as they embrace their future,’ he added. The activity was successfully realised thanks to solid synergy and collaboration between Pegadaian, a team of professional medical staff, implementing partners, and the local government, particularly the Senen District, which provided full support from the preparation stage. The active involvement of expert doctors and nurses ensured that the entire circumcision procedure was carried out with strict medical operational standards, hygienically, and in a child-friendly manner. Through this integrated collaboration, Pegadaian not only ensured the event ran safely and smoothly but also sought to create a sustainable positive social impact for the wider community.
