Pegadaian Distributes Aid to Residents Around Mosques in Medan
This programme is part of the Pegadaian Peduli initiative, which is regularly held as a manifestation of the company’s concern for the social conditions of the community. The aid distribution was carried out at two locations, namely around Masjid Al-Ma’ruf on Jalan Sidorukun, and Masjid Nur Chadijah in the Wartawan Complex on Jalan Letterpress Ujung. During the event, the Pegadaian team distributed food packages consisting of boxed cakes and mineral water to the community around the mosques. This aid is expected to provide direct benefits while strengthening values of togetherness and social concern. Representatives from UPC Lodendang and UPC Sidorukun stated that the Friday Charity activity not only focuses on providing assistance but also serves as a means to strengthen relations with the community. “Through this Friday Charity programme, we want to continue to be present in the midst of the community and share happiness. May the assistance provided be beneficial and bring blessings to us all,” said a Pegadaian representative in a written statement on Saturday (2/5/2026). The activity was carried out by the Lodendang Branch Service Units (UPC) and UPC Sidorukun, which are under the auspices of the Krakatau CP Branch, on Friday (1/5). Meanwhile, the Krakatau CP Branch Manager, Amelia Besty Gaiety, emphasised that this activity is part of the company’s commitment to carrying out its corporate social responsibility (CSR). “This activity is a concrete form of Pegadaian’s concern for the surrounding community. We are committed to continuing to implement the Friday Charity programme sustainably so that its benefits are increasingly widespread,” said Amelia. The activity received a positive response from the beneficiary community, who appreciated Pegadaian’s concern for the surrounding environment. With the spirit of empowering Indonesia, Pegadaian Kanwil I Medan will continue to strive to expand the reach of the TJSL programme so that it is increasingly broad and equitable, one of which is through the Friday Charity programme which is expected to continue to provide sustainable positive impacts.
