Pegadaian Distributes 4,500 Kurban Meat Packages to Needy Communities
Pegadaian’s Islamic Religious Organisation (Rohis) continues its consistent efforts to spread social benefits for the community by slaughtering and distributing sacrificial meat for Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah. Under the theme ‘One Sincerity, A Million Benefits,’ the slaughter event was held at the Amanah Bersama Agro State Slaughterhouse (RPH) in Jatimurni, Pondok Melati, Bekasi City. This tangible action underscores PT Pegadaian’s commitment not only to aggressive business growth but also to balancing it with strengthening its Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) pillars. Amid the company’s significant strides as Indonesia’s first Bullion Bank and a driver of national financial digitalisation, this act of compassion demonstrates that corporate ecosystem modernisation proceeds hand-in-hand with tangible contributions to social welfare. ‘Eid al-Adha is not only an act of worship and devotion to Allah SWT but also a crucial reminder for corporations and all Pegadaian personnel about the importance of sincerity, compassion, and sharing. Through this initiative, Pegadaian is fully committed to delivering inclusive social benefits for the community while reinforcing unity within the company and with partners,’ said PT Pegadaian’s Director of Finance and Strategic Planning, Ferdian Timur Satyagraha, in a statement on Friday, 29 May 2026. He made this statement during the kurban slaughter ceremony at the Amanah Bersama Agro State Slaughterhouse (RPH) in Jatimurni, Pondok Melati, Bekasi City, on Wednesday, 29 May. This year’s kurban initiative saw Rohis Pegadaian collect a total of 22 sacrificial animals, comprising 14 cattle and 8 goats. These were gathered organically from the Alms Fund for the Community (DKU), personal contributions from Pegadaian staff, and full support from strategic corporate partners including PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI), Galeri 24, and PT Lotus Lingga Pratama. Technical calculations project that all sacrificial animals will yield approximately 4,500 high-quality kurban meat packages. To ensure hygiene, cleanliness, and halal standards, the slaughtering and processing were entrusted entirely to professionals at the standardised RPH. The meat packages will then be mobilised to the distribution point at CP Kebon Nanas for targeted delivery to mustahiq and local communities eligible to receive. This centralised distribution model was implemented to minimise crowds and maintain order during aid distribution. Through this kurban synergy, PT Pegadaian expressed its highest appreciation to all parties, business partners, and committees involved. This social initiative is expected to foster stronger unity and support the Government’s Asta Cita programme towards Golden Indonesia 2045 by ensuring equitable food nutrition and improving grassroots community welfare.
