Pegadaian and South Jakarta District Attorney Join Forces to Strengthen Legal Risk Mitigation
PT Pegadaian (Persero) Regional Office IX Jakarta 2 has officially entered into a strategic partnership with the South Jakarta District Attorney’s Office (Kejari Jaksel) through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement in the field of Civil and State Administrative Law (Datun). This step is taken as a continuous effort by the company to strengthen the principles of Good Corporate Governance (GCG), operational transparency, and the effectiveness of legal risk mitigation across all business lines.
The signing ceremony took place at the Aston Simatupang Hotel, South Jakarta. This collaboration is motivated by the increasingly complex dynamics of the business world, which require State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) like Pegadaian to consistently uphold the principle of legal compliance to protect state assets and stakeholder interests.
In accordance with the law, the District Attorney’s Civil and State Administrative Division has the authority to provide legal aid, legal opinions, and other legal actions. This agreement serves as an official legal umbrella for both institutions to accelerate dispute resolution and handle risks preventively.
Maryono, Regional Leader of PT Pegadaian Kanwil IX Jakarta 2, stated that this cooperation is a significant milestone for the company’s business sustainability. He emphasized the importance of a robust legal framework amidst the rising complexity of financial transactions. “We are not only focusing on dispute resolution but also placing great attention on risk mitigation and prevention through intensive legal consultation. This synergy is believed to be able to optimally enhance transparency, accountability, and the protection of state assets,” said Maryono.
This strategic cooperation encompasses four main pillars for field implementation. In addition to the signing ceremony and plaque exchange, the event also featured an interactive discussion (talkshow) on current civil law issues and a product knowledge socialization from Pegadaian’s business division. The meeting concluded with a strong commitment from both parties to realize a healthy, safe, and sustainable business ecosystem.
