Pefindo Assigns High Rating to BSN
The Government prioritises maintaining the quality of education. PT Bank Syariah Nasional (BSN) has achieved a rating of idAA+ (Double A Plus) with a stable outlook from PT Pemeringkat Efek Indonesia (Pefindo), reflecting a very strong capacity to meet long-term financial obligations. Pefindo’s President Director, Irmawati, stated that the assessment was based on a comprehensive evaluation of the company’s data and performance, including BSN’s financial achievements throughout the 2025 fiscal year. “The idAA+ rating indicates a very strong ability to meet long-term financial commitments. The (+) sign indicates a superior position compared to the average entities in the same category,” Irmawati said in a written statement on Thursday (26/3). This rating is valid for one year, from 13 March 2026 to 1 March 2027. Pefindo assesses that this achievement is supported by BSN’s solid market position and strong capitalisation. The stable outlook reflects confidence that BSN’s credit profile will remain maintained in the medium term, supported by consistent fundamental performance. BSN’s President Director, Alex Sofjan Noor, welcomed the rating result positively. He emphasised that support from PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk as the parent company further strengthens BSN’s position. “This rating is an important achievement as well as motivation for us to continue improving performance and providing the best services, as well as strengthening our position as the primary financial partner for Indonesian families,” he said. According to him, the idAA+ rating confirms BSN’s fundamental quality that is above the industry average. Meanwhile, the stable outlook reflects the sustainability of performance and business stability going forward. In the future, BSN will strengthen financing expansion and broaden market reach. The company is also focusing on strengthening the digital ecosystem through the Bale Syariah by BSN application. Currently, BSN is supported by a network of 37 Sharia Branch Offices, 82 Sharia Sub-Branch Offices, and 589 Sharia Service Offices. Synergy with BTN is expected to further expand public access to BSN’s products and services. “This rating strengthens our optimism to continue growing, support government programmes, and expand the sharia financial ecosystem, especially through sharia housing financing in Indonesia,” Alex said. BSN also targets improved performance in 2026, continuing the positive trend from the previous year, while strengthening sharia financial literacy in society.
