PEFINDO Affirms idAAA Rating for Bank BNP Paribas Indonesia

PEFINDO has affirmed its idAAA rating with a stable outlook for PT Bank BNP Paribas Indonesia (BNPPI or the Bank). The rating is primarily supported by the very strong likelihood of extraordinary support from its parent company, BNP Paribas SA (BNP Paribas). The Bank’s standalone credit profile reflects its strong market position, very strong capitalisation, and strong liquidity profile. However, these strengths are partly offset by a concentrated business profile.

The rating could be lowered if the likelihood of support from BNP Paribas weakens significantly, which could be indicated by a substantial reduction in BNP Paribas’s ownership or control of the Bank.

PT Bank BNP Paribas Indonesia is a commercial bank focused on corporate banking services, serving multinational corporations, large domestic corporations, and financial institutions. The Bank operates through its head office in Jakarta and was supported by 100 employees as of 31 March 2026. The Bank’s shareholder composition consists of BNP Paribas SA (99%) and PT BNP Paribas Sekuritas Indonesia (1%).
