Peeping fans eye up karatekas
JAKARTA (JP): North Jakarta sports halls are not known for their peep shows; that is more the preserve of certain parts of cities such as Amsterdam.
But yesterday was an exception. The hall where the karate events were taking place was so packed, fans were forced to innovate to get a viewpoint.
The rooms, including the secretariat office upstairs, have ventilators which are accessible to the main hall. But all the ventilators were covered with banners featuring the names of the participating countries and to tear them down would have been tantamount to defamation.
So the desperate supporters found plastic cords and tied down the bottom of the banners while peeping over the top of them.
Who said peep shows had to be confined to red-light districts? (icn)
