Pediatricians to hold congress

PADANG, West Sumatra: The Association of Indonesian
Pediatricians will start its 10th conference in Bukittinggi on
Monday, Antara reported yesterday.

The organizer of the congress, Syamsir Daili, said the five-
day meeting will have the theme "Improving Indonesian Children's
Health as part of the Country's Human Resource Development".

Some 950 participants, including 15 pediatricians from the
United States, Australia, the Netherlands, Japan, France, and
Denmark, will exchange information in the meeting, Syamsir said.

Minister of Health Sujudi, Minister of Population Haryono
Suyono and Minister of Religious Affairs Tarmizi Taher will
address the meeting. (01)
