Peak Return Traffic: One-Way Scheme Extended to KM 459 on Semarang-Solo Toll Road
The Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps has extended the one-way traffic engineering scheme for the 2026 return flow on the Trans Java Toll Road. The extension applies up to kilometre 459 on the Semarang-Solo Toll Road. Chief of Traffic Corps, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, explained that this measure was taken due to the increasing volume of vehicles. The one-way scheme was initially implemented from kilometre 414 at the Kalikangkung Toll Gate. “There is an extension of the one-way return flow from kilometre 459 to kilometre 414 at Kalikangkung,” said Inspector General Agus while inspecting the situation at the Banyumanik Toll Gate in Central Java on Tuesday (24/3/2026). Inspector General Agus described the traffic conditions as busy as predicted for the peak return flow. Several local one-way schemes have also been implemented at various points. “Therefore, in line with the prediction that 24th is the peak flow, we will certainly monitor the traffic count at 6 o’clock tomorrow,” he added. Previously, the national one-way scheme was applied from kilometre 414 at Kalikangkung Toll Gate to kilometre 70 at Cikampek Utama Toll Gate. National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo led the flag-off ceremony for the process.
