Jakarta (ANTARA) - The peak return traffic during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr period, or Hari Raya Idul Fitri 1447 Hijriah, is predicted to occur on 24 March 2026. “Our prediction for the return traffic is on 24 March,” said PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk President Director Rivan A. Purwantono at the Jasa Marga Training Centre building, Jalan Akses Tol Jatiasih, Bekasi, West Java, on Friday. Additionally, he stated, a second wave of the return peak is predicted for 28-29 March. To anticipate the increase in vehicle volume, he urged the public to return home on 26 and 27 March, taking advantage of a 30 percent toll discount. “Plan well with the right timing. Check road density so as to truly enjoy the return journey, and safe travels to your destination,” he said. On the same occasion, the Director General of Land Transportation at the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub), Aan Suhanan, said that with the government’s work-from-anywhere (WFA) policy, he urged the public to adjust their return times. “You can return on 25, 26, 27 up to 29, so that this peak flow can be spread across each day,” he said. This arrangement, he added, is solely to provide smoothness and comfort for all members of the public returning to their respective homes.
