The peak of the second wave of Eid return traffic will occur on 28-29 March. It is predicted that 250,000 vehicles will pass towards Jakarta on 29 March, or Sunday. “It is predicted that today there will be 183,000, then rising again to 200,000 and up to 250,000 estimated on Sunday,” said PT Jasa Marga President Director Rivan A. Purwantono at Km 29, Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, North Cikarang, Friday (27/3/2026). During the 2026 Eid return traffic, several rest area points on the Trans Java toll road have caused congestion. The public heading to rest areas is urged to prepare by seeking information on available facilities. There are also policies for opening and closing rest areas, such as at 62 B and 52 B on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road. Data from this morning shows 2.3 million vehicles have returned to Jakarta. “From the data held by Jasa Marga up to this morning at 6 a.m., 2.3 million vehicles have entered Jakarta. That means 69%,” he stated. The peak of the first wave of return traffic occurred on 24 March. This year’s outbound and return traffic has experienced an increase from the previous year, making it the highest in history.
