Peak of Second Wave Return Traffic: Vehicle Volume at Puncak Normal and Smooth
The weekend is predicted to mark the peak of the second wave of the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri return traffic on Sunday (29/3). However, in the jurisdiction of the Cianjur Police Resort, West Java, the volume of passing vehicle traffic is monitored as smooth.
The Head of Traffic Police of Cianjur Police Resort, Ajun Commissioner Aang Andi Suhandi, stated that on the Cianjur-Puncak border route, which is one of the focuses of security, the vehicle volume is running normally and smoothly. This applies not only from the direction of Bogor to Cianjur but also in the opposite direction.
“From the Cianjur-Bogor border or precisely at Puncak Pass, the traffic flow situation from Bogor towards Cianjur and vice versa is in a normal and smooth condition,” said Aang on Sunday (29/3).
Aang admitted that the Cianjur Police Resort always coordinates and collaborates with the Bogor Police Resort to handle vehicle traffic conditions. Especially when a one-way system is implemented.
“We always coordinate and collaborate if the Bogor Police Resort implements one-way from the direction of Jakarta to Bogor or vice versa,” he explained.
The Traffic Police Unit of Cianjur Police Resort will conduct balancing if the Bogor Police Resort applies a one-way system. The efforts are carried out through screening or regulation to ensure smooth vehicle flow.
“Until midday today, in the Bogor Police Resort area itself, no screening or one-way has been implemented. Thus, vehicle flow from Cianjur towards Bogor and vice versa is running normally and smoothly,” he concluded.
