Peak Eid Homecoming Traffic at Soekarno-Hatta Airport Exceeds 184,000 Passengers
PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports) Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Branch in Tangerang, Banten, recorded 184,754 aircraft passenger movements at the airport on the peak of the Eid homecoming or H-3 before the celebration of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah/2026 CE. Based on daily data, of the 184,754 passengers, this was divided into two flights, including 103,889 departing passengers and 80,865 arriving passengers. Assistant Deputy for Communication & Legal at PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Branch, Yudistiawan, in Tangerang on Wednesday, stated that based on the attached daily data, on this peak Eid homecoming transport flow, 1,232 flights were also recorded with a total of 184,000 passengers. “For today’s peak homecoming flow, passenger movements continue to increase. A total of 184,000 people passed through Soekarno-Hatta Airport,” he said. Yudistiawan mentioned that of the total 184,000 passenger movements, the number of crossings at Terminal 1 was 51,467 people. Meanwhile, aircraft movements amounted to 307 flights or 24.92 percent. Meanwhile, Terminal 2 recorded 51,498 people with 364 domestic flights. Then, for international, 14,727 passengers were recorded with 98 flights. Next, the number of passenger movements at Terminal 3 was 38,460 people with 260 domestic flights, and for international, it reached 155 flights with 28,602 passengers. Based on ANTARA’s observation at Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport around 13:20 WIB, long queues of prospective passengers were visible at several flight ticket counters. In fact, a number of ticket sales counters in the terminal were already crowded with passengers heading to various regions for Eid homecoming. Several other passengers were also seen standing waiting for document checks around the check-in counter entrance.
