Peace Reached: Nabilah O’Brien and Her Accuser Agree to Delete Mutually Attacking Content on Social Media
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.COM - Social media influencer Nabilah O’Brien and her accuser Zendhy Kusuma have agreed to delete content that attacked each other on social media, which had become the source of controversy, after they officially reached peace. The agreement is part of a peace pact signed by the parties after they had previously filed reports with the police, according to the Head of the Public Information Bureau, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, of the Indonesian National Police’s Public Relations Division. ‘Thus, in the mediation record process, withdrawal of the reports, and just now in front of us all, they deleted the posts on their respective social media that were part of the peace agreement,’ Trunoyudo said when met at Mabes Polri on Sunday night (8/3/2026). ‘Ms. Z and the wife of Ms. ES, and the party of Ms. NA and KDH were present; four parties attended and signed the peace agreement. In this peace agreement we have explained, and during this process each party has withdrawn the reports with their respective complainants,’ he added. He explained that the mediation and peace process followed police analysis of two reports previously handled by the Mampang Police Station and the Bareskrim Polri (Criminal Investigation Department). Trunoyudo expressed the hope that the agreement would provide a sense of justice for both sides. ‘Looking ahead, this could deliver justice, particularly as it is during Ramadhan, a blessed period of worship, and a time for goodwill and self-reflection; each party has withdrawn their complaints,’ he said. In a separate interview, Nabilah confirmed that the matter had been settled peacefully. She even stated that she is no longer a suspect. Previously, Nabilah had been named a suspect in connection with alleged violations of the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (UU ITE) relating to defamation, filed by Zendhy with the Bareskrim Polri. The suspect designation against Nabilah was issued by the Cyber Crime Directorate of Bareskrim Polri on 28 February 2026. The incident that sparked the controversy occurred on 19 September 2025 at the Bibi Kelinci restaurant in Kemang, South Jakarta. However, after a clash in the restaurant’s kitchen area, both left the venue with an order without paying. Separately, Zendhy and his wife were also named as suspects by the Mampang Prapatan Police due to Nabilah’s report on 24 February 2026.
