Member of Parliament from the NasDem Party, Ahmad Sahroni, has officially withdrawn his report regarding the case of his face being edited using Artificial Intelligence (AI) at the Metro Jaya Police Headquarters.

Sahroni’s legal representative, Tina Amelia, stated that her client has agreed to forgive the two perpetrators, who are influencers named Indira Berliana Dewi and Rena Romansa.

The report was registered under numbers LP/B/6382/IX/2025/SPKT/Metro Jaya Police and LP/B/6486/IX/2025/SPKT/Metro Jaya Police, with allegations of violations under Article 51 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 35 and/or Article 48 in conjunction with Article 32 of the ITE Law.

“Alhamdulillah, today, 6 April 2026, an agreement for peace and the withdrawal of the report has been reached regarding the two suspects or reported parties whom we reported in September 2025,” she told reporters at the Metro Jaya Police Headquarters on Monday (6/4).

Tina emphasised that although the report has been withdrawn and a peace agreement reached, her client still does not normalise the act of editing faces with AI.

“But once again, considering the sincerity and good faith from the suspects or reported parties, our client has decided to proceed with the peace agreement and withdrawal of the report,” she said.

Furthermore, she explained that the withdrawal was carried out after several mediation meetings between Sahroni and Indira and Rena.

“Alhamdulillah, we met directly with Mr Ahmad Sahroni, because of his great-heartedness; he immediately agreed to accept, and we discussed, ultimately leading to today,” she added.

On the same occasion, Indira and Rena expressed their regret over their actions. Indira apologised for joining in on editing Sahroni’s photo via AI.

“Initially, we had FOMO about using AI, with a template from the Gemini AI prompt. We followed what was trending. As content creators, we used it to increase engagement. That was the mistake we made,” said Indira.

“As the reported party named Rena, I want to express my deepest thanks to Mr Ahmad Sahroni and a very sincere apology from the bottom of my heart. I acknowledge my mistake,” said Rena.
