PDIP's Mufti Anam Supports 'Red and White' Cooperatives for Public Welfare

The head of the PDIP faction in Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), Mufti Anam, has voiced support for the Koperasi Desa Merah Putih (Red and White Village Cooperative) programme. He expressed hope that the programme would bring prosperity to the community.

“First, we from the PDIP Faction certainly strongly support every government effort to bring welfare to the people, especially through the Koperasi Desa Merah Putih,” Mufti said during a working meeting with the Minister of Cooperatives at Commission VI of the DPR, chaired by Deputy Chairman Andre Rosiade, on Wednesday (15/7/2026).

Mufti also thanked President Prabowo regarding the programmes running under his leadership. He stated that PDIP supports the President’s priority programmes as long as they have a welfare impact on the community.

“We also express our gratitude to the President for his efforts in getting the village economy moving with the KDMP. So our position in the PDIP Faction is very clear: we support every programme being implemented, especially the president’s priority programmes that impact the people’s welfare,” he said.

Earlier, Minister of Cooperatives Ferry Juliantono outlined a number of his ministry’s achievements in 2025. Ferry reported this during the meeting with Commission VI of the DPR.

“Throughout 2025, the Ministry of Cooperatives recorded a number of strategic achievements as a foundation for strengthening the national cooperative ecosystem,” Ferry said at the DPR meeting.

In terms of regulation, Ferry said his ministry had compiled the Problem Inventory List (DIM) for the Cooperatives Bill. He described the bill as an important step to provide a more adaptive legal framework regarding cooperative developments.

Ferry then revealed achievements in the KDMP programme. He stated that a long-term development plan had been drawn up, along with capacity building for KDMP human resources.

“As a long-term development direction, the ministry has also designed the KDMP blueprint, which is reinforced with various business model pocketbooks and 10 training modules. Human resource capacity building is also a priority; more than 15,000 KDMP facilitators, 143,000 KDMP administrators, and 206,000 cooperative human resources have participated in various training programmes to improve professionalism and the quality of cooperative governance,” he said.
