JAKARTA - The Deputy Chairman of the PDIP Central Executive Board and Deputy Chairman of Commission IX of the House of Representatives, Charles Honoris, stated that PDIP is currently focused on absorbing public aspirations regarding the substance that needs to be regulated in the Labour Bill.

However, one issue highlighted is related to outsourcing.

“Yes, several issues related to, including outsourcing, will be the main considerations,” Charles said at the Otista Sports Hall on Sunday (3/5/2026).

Charles wants the Labour Bill, targeted for the end of 2026, to present regulations that are acceptable and rational amid the current conditions.

However, this commitment must be based on a strong foundation of aspirations.

Input from various elements of society, especially workers’ union groups, is an initial step that must be taken.

“So from our side, we will certainly listen first to input from the public, including workers’ union groups, to later determine what we will prioritise in this bill,” he explained.

Previously, PDIP criticised the stance of the government and the House of Representatives for failing to approve the Labour Bill.

“Because the Labour Law has not been approved, it is not yet in favour of the working class. Agree?” said Ribka at the Otista Sports Hall, Jakarta (3/5/2026), followed by agreement chants from the attending masses.
