PDIP’s Central Leadership Council (DPP) held a Pancasila Day ceremony on Saturday, 1 June 2026, at the Masjid At-Taufiq field on Lenteng Agung Raya Street in South Jakarta, starting at 09:00 WIB. The ceremony was led by PDIP Secretary-General Hasto Kristiyanto.

Several party elites and cadres attended, including Djarot Syaiful Hidayat, Ganjar Pranowo, and Tri Rismaharini. Meanwhile, PDIP Chairperson Megawati Soekarnoputri was scheduled to attend a separate ceremony at the Pancasila Building field in Central Jakarta.

Participants included PDIP regional and branch leadership in Jakarta, as well as PDIP task forces from Jakarta and Bogor Regency, with other regions joining virtually. The ceremony began with the raising of the red-and-white flag accompanied by the national anthem, followed by a moment of silence. Hasto then delivered a speech to the attendees.

Previously, PDIP Central Leadership Council Chairman Djarot Saiful Hidayat stated that Indonesia’s fifth president and PDIP Chairperson Megawati Soekarnoputri would attend the Pancasila Day ceremony on 1 June 2026 at the Pancasila Building field in Jakarta.

‘Insya Allah she will attend. Please pray she has the opportunity to attend,’ Djarot said at Novotel Mangga Dua in North Jakarta on Saturday, 30 May 2026.

Djarot added that PDIP would also hold a Pancasila Day ceremony at the Party School in Lenteng Agung. The Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP) had invited all former presidents and vice-presidents to the Pancasila Day ceremony on 1 June at the Pancasila Building field in Jakarta.

‘But clearly, the party will conduct the Pancasila Day ceremony at the Party School on 1 June. Let’s see tomorrow,’ he said.
