PDIP faction leverages joint breaking of fast to strengthen Jakarta development synergy
Jakarta — The PDIP faction of the Jakarta Regional House of Representatives utilised a joint breaking of fast gathering to strengthen solidarity across party elements and enhance collaboration between the executive and legislative branches in developing Jakarta.
“This activity is intended to promote increased solidarity that has already been established. Solidarity amongst organisational pillars with the executive and also with the structure of the legislative faction,” said Pantas Nainggolan, chairman of the PDIP faction at the Jakarta Regional House of Representatives, in Jakarta on Wednesday.
According to him, the joint iftar was combined with a thanksgiving ceremony for the use of a new secretariat on the eighth floor of the Jakarta Regional House of Representatives building.
The joint breaking of fast was attended by Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung and Jakarta Vice Governor Rano Karno, both of whom are cadres of the PDIP Struggle party.
According to him, with closer cooperation, various development programmes could increasingly provide benefits to the community.
“We continue to improve and enhance the performance achievements that have been accomplished so far in order to be increasingly beneficial to all members of society,” he said.
Pantas emphasised the importance of synergy and cross-party collaboration to address various complex issues in Jakarta.
“So let us not repeat the mistakes of the past. When there is a change, whatever the current leader has accomplished and is clearly producing results, suddenly there is a change of leadership and the programme stops. This should not happen,” he said.
Pantas noted that continuity in development is an absolute necessity given that various major issues in Jakarta cannot be resolved within a single leadership term.
For this reason, he believed that development must be carried out sustainably and interconnected from year to year.
