PDIP Confirms Megawati's Attendance at Pancasila Day Ceremony on 1 June

PDIP DPP Chairman Djarot Saiful Hidayat stated that the fifth Indonesian president and PDIP General Chairperson Megawati Soekarnoputri will attend the Pancasila Day commemoration ceremony on 1 June 2026. The ceremony will be held at Gedung Pancasila Field in Jakarta. ‘Insha’Allah she will attend. Insha’Allah she will attend; please pray that she has the time and opportunity to attend,’ Djarot said at Novotel Mangga Dua in North Jakarta on Saturday, 30 May 2026. Djarot said PDIP’s DPP will also hold a Pancasila Day ceremony at the Party School in Lenteng Agung. The Badan Pembinaan Ideologi Pancasila (BPIP) has invited all former presidents and vice presidents to the 1 June Pancasila Day commemoration at Gedung Pancasila Field in Jakarta. ‘But clearly, the party will also hold a Pancasila Day ceremony at the Party School on 1 June. We’ll see tomorrow,’ he said. Previously, BPIP stated that President Prabowo Subianto will serve as the ceremony inspector for the Pancasila Day commemoration on 1 June. The event will be held at Gedung Pancasila Field, Jalan Taman Pejambon, Jakarta. ‘The 2026 national Pancasila Day commemoration will be held in person on Monday, 1 June 2026 at exactly 10:00 Western Indonesian Time. The President of the Republic of Indonesia will attend in person and serve as the ceremony inspector,’ said BPIP Chief Yudian Wahyudi at his office in Jakarta on Friday, 29 May. Yudian said the Pancasila Day commemoration will be broadcast live online. The ceremony will commence at 10:00 WIB. ‘The ceremony will take place at Gedung Pancasila Field, Jalan Taman Pejambon, Jakarta. The general public and all civil servants who have conducted ceremonies in their respective regions can follow the national-level ceremony via live broadcast on BPIP’s YouTube channel, Facebook page, Instagram account, or national television,’ he said.
