The Yogyakarta City Branch of PDI Perjuangan (DPC PDI Perjuangan Kota Jogja) has opened an Eid homecoming post at Giwangan Terminal in Yogyakarta City. The post, which operates throughout the Eid holiday period, is equipped with various facilities including drinks and vitamins accessible to the entire community.

The Chairman of DPC PDI Perjuangan Kota Jogja, Eko Suwanto, stated that the post is expected to assist the public who need access to services, health checks, and more.

“The party, through Baguna PDI Perjuangan, has a tradition of setting up posts to welcome homecomers at Giwangan during the return and homecoming flows,” explained Eko in a written statement received by detikJogja on Thursday (19/3/2026).

“The post and personnel are on standby 24 hours and ready to provide services if the public faces any difficulties in access; please take a moment to rest, and we have prepared the necessary drinks along with a volunteer medical team,” added the Chairman of Commission A of the DIY DPRD.

The Deputy Head of the Disaster Management Division of DPC PDIP Kota Jogja, Indah Lestari, added that the location of the post at Giwangan was chosen because the terminal serves as the entry and exit point for homecomers from DKI Jakarta, West Java, and Central Java.

“The PDI Perjuangan post at Giwangan is easily accessible. This is part of our Baguna’s readiness to provide services to homecomers as well as public transport crew to maintain their stamina,” said Indah.

Meanwhile, the PDI Perjuangan Faction Leader in the Yogyakarta City DPRD, Susanto Dwi Antoro, explained that the presence of the homecoming post at Giwangan Terminal is a collaborative effort from Baguna DPC PDI Perjuangan Kota Jogja.

“Every homecomer who stops by the post can receive multivitamins, including bus crew. Iftar menus are also available at Giwangan Terminal. This is the work of Baguna PDI Perjuangan, providing medical health check services and rest areas,” said Toro.

The Head of Baguna PDI Perjuangan Kota Jogja, Stanislaus Loka, added that the homecoming post at Giwangan Terminal operates 24 hours with guarding by PDIP Yogyakarta members and cadres. The existence of this post is described as part of service and dedication to the community in need.

“Please access it, homecomers. We also distribute iftar menus to the local community around the post. The post service personnel are Baguna members who have been trained,” he concluded.
