PDI-P launched a new song titled ‘Bung Karno Bapak Marhaenisme’ during the Technical Guidance (Bimtek) for PDI-P DPRD members at provincial, regency, and city levels across Indonesia in Jakarta on Saturday, 30 May 2026. Djarot Saiful Hidayat, Chair of PDI-P Central Leadership Council (DPP), stated that the song launch is part of the preparations for Bung Karno Month and will become part of the party’s official protocol for all events. ‘Today, during the opening, we introduced the song ’Bung Karno Bapak Marhaenisme’. It will be sung at all party protocol events because Marhaenism was articulated and developed by Bung Karno,’ Djarot said on 30 May 2026. ‘In every party protocol event, the song ’Bung Karno Bapak Marhaenisme’ must be sung,’ he emphasised. Djarot stressed that Marhaenism is a doctrine articulated and developed by Indonesia’s first president, Soekarno, as the foundation for fighting for the interests of the common people. PDI-P has been established since its inception as a party oriented towards the interests of the common people or Marhaen. The PDI-P DPRD Bimtek across Indonesia will be held in phases with approximately 4,000 cadres participating. Djarot explained that the first regional session was held in Jakarta, attended by DPRD members from Jakarta, Banten, West Java, and all provinces in Kalimantan. The second regional session will take place in Bali, with participants from Bali, West Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara, East Java, Central Java, and the Special Region of Yogyakarta. According to Djarot, the Bimtek not only provides technical preparation for DPRD members but also serves as a platform to strengthen the party’s ideology among cadres in legislative bodies. In addition to ideological reinforcement, the Bimtek aims to strengthen organisational solidarity at the regional level. ‘Also to strengthen bonds, connections, and collaboration between the chair, secretary, and treasurer of district and provincial committees,’ he said.
