PDI-P Cadre Palti Hutabarat Terrorised with Dog's Head Carcass Thrown at His Parents' Home

JAKARTA - Social media activist and cadre of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P), Palti Hutabarat, experienced a terror act when a dog’s head carcass was thrown at his parents’ home in Deli Serdang, North Sumatra, on Wednesday (18/3/2026).

According to Palti’s testimony, around 10-12 midnight, an object was thrown in front of his house. The next morning at 7 a.m., it was checked and found to be a dog’s head carcass,” said Wiradarma Harefa from the People’s Legal Aid and Advocacy Agency (BBHAR) of PDI-P to Kompas.com on Thursday (19/3/2026) night.

Wiradarma explained that this dog head carcass terror is a continuation of the sending of two previous cash on delivery (COD) packages.

“Is there no one living at house number xx? I called and called, but no one came out,” said Wiradarma, quoting the unidentified person (OTK).

“There is, but the people are often out,” the security guard replied to the OTK, as conveyed by Wiradarma.

Then, on Friday afternoon (13/3/2026), the first COD package arrived.

The next day, or on Saturday (14/3/2026), the second COD package arrived.

However, what raised suspicion was that the package was sent in the name of Palti’s late father from an old address in Jakarta.

“How could a deceased person send a package? Like the previous package, this one was not opened and was immediately returned,” Wiradarma explained.

In the following days, Palti’s family did not receive any more mysterious packages. Wiradarma suspects there will be no further terror against them.

At the same time, according to Wiradarma, Palti also received a number of intimidating memes via WhatsApp.

On that basis, Wiradarma urged the authorities to immediately arrest the perpetrators who sent the dog’s head carcass to Palti Hutabarat.

“Also in previous intimidation and terror cases, for example, Risman Lase whose car was hit with a Molotov cocktail in Sibolga, North Sumatra, the acid splashing on Andrie Yunus from KontraS, on DJ Donny, Virdian, Sherly, Tiyo Ardianto, Bocor Alus from Tempo, and other cases that have not been uncovered,” he added emphatically.
