PDAM Jaya to cut supply for 6 hours
JAKARTA (JP): The city-owned water company, PDAM Jaya, will temporarily stop its supply to various areas in the city for six hours at 9 a.m. tomorrow.
The company's director for techniques and production, Kris Tutuko, said the pause was needed for technicians to install new electrical devices at the firm's water treatment installation in Pejompongan, Central Jakarta.
According to Kris, the affected area would include those around the city's main thoroughfares, such as Jl. Thamrin, Jl. Sudirman and Semanggi cloverleaf.
Other affected area will be Pejompongan, Tomang, Jatibaru, Menteng, Petojo, Harmoni, Latumenten, Kalijodoh, Tebet, Casablanca, Sawah Besar, Gunung Sahari, Muara Karang, Pluit, Tanjung Duren, Daan Mogot, Cengkareng and Tubagus Angke.
The water supply is expected to return to normal about 3 p.m. (bsr)
