PBNU to Conduct Regional Reconciliation Within First 100 Days of Term
The Executive Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) will conduct reconciliation visits to all regional boards within the first 100 working days following the announcement of the organisational structure for the 2026-2031 term.
“We will conduct reconciliation in the regions,” stated the General Chairman of PBNU, Abdul Hakim Mahfudz, at the PBNU Building in Jakarta on Wednesday.
Commonly referred to as Gus Kikin, he noted that several regions have been identified as priorities for PBNU’s reconciliation efforts, including Papua.
This reconciliation is deemed essential given the differing political choices made during the Muktamar process. Consequently, the NU internal structure needs to re-strengthen itself down to the grassroots level to ensure that all NU agendas for the welfare of the community and the nation can proceed in alignment.
“Consolidation is our priority,” said Gus Kikin.
Previously, PBNU announced the full management structure for the 2026-2031 term. Gus Kikin appointed Gufdan Arif as the Secretary General of PBNU, with Ainun Na’im and Khatib Aam Muhammad Nuh serving as General Treasurers.
The announcement also marks the completion of the management structure formation following the 35th NU Muktamar at the Bahrul Ulum Islamic Boarding School in Tambakberas, Jombang, East Java.
The formation of the PBNU management structure was entrusted to the Rais Aam, the General Chairman, and the formation team established during the 35th NU Muktamar. The formation team comprised representatives from various regions across Indonesia, as well as elements from the host province, East Java.
