PBNU Rais Aam Visits KH Nurul Huda Djazuli for Eid, Gus Ipul: Advice for the Young

Rais Aam of the Executive Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU), KH Miftachul Akhyar, paid an Eid visit to the caregiver of the Al Falah Islamic Boarding School in Ploso, Kediri, KH Nurul Huda Djazuli. This moment serves as an important example in preserving the tradition of brotherhood among ulama.

PBNU Secretary-General, Saifullah Yusuf or Gus Ipul, assessed the meeting as rich in meaning for the younger generation.

“This photo serves as advice for us young ones. That the kiai and ulama continue to maintain silaturahmi, preserve brotherhood, and pray for one another,” he stated in a written statement on Sunday (29/3/2026).

He added that meetings between pesantren figures typically involve discussions on pesantren developments, the NU organisation, family, and various current issues facing the ummah and the nation.

“When the kiai meet, they discuss matters related to pesantren, NU, family, and contemporary problems. We pray that both of them are granted long life, always healthy, and continue to guide us all,” he said.

For Gus Ipul, the Eid silaturahmi conducted by these senior ulama also serves as a reminder that the tradition of mutual visits during Eid al-Fitr is not merely a social habit, but part of the effort to nurture ukhuwah, strengthen the chain of knowledge, and maintain unity in society.
