A number of central executives of the Partai Bulan Bintang (PBB) from the VI Congress in Bali have reported the Ministry of Law to the Indonesian Ombudsman over alleged maladministration following the approval of the DPP PBB executive board for the 2025-2030 period as per the Musyawarah Dewan Partai (MDP) version.

The report was submitted by M. Syahyan and Afiat Ripai as authorised representatives of the General Chairman of the DPP PBB from the VI Congress in Bali, Gugum Ridho Putra.

“We have reported to the Ombudsman the alleged maladministration in the process of approving the DPP PBB executive board as per the MDP version,” said Afiat in his statement on Wednesday (23/4).

Afiat hopes that the report will be processed promptly. His side wants to obtain clarity regarding the DPP PBB executive board and ensure that the Ministry of Law has not violated the provisions.

“Is it true that the Ministry of Law has committed alleged maladministration or procedural flaws? Let the Ombudsman provide the answer to that,” he said.

Meanwhile, the General Chairman of the DPP PBB from the VI Congress in Bali, Gugum Ridho Putra, has urged the Ombudsman to follow up on the report immediately. This is because he claims to have heard that the MDP executive board has received an Executive Board Decree.

Meanwhile, said Gugum, his side has sent a letter to the Ministry of Law but has not received a response.

“Reports circulating from the MDP camp indicate that they have received the executive board decree. We have sent an official clarification letter, but to this day, there has been no response from the Ministry of Law,” he said.

PBB Secretary General, Ali Amran Tanjung, stated that through the report to the Ombudsman, his side wants to ensure that the Ministry of Law’s performance complies with the rules and legislation.

This is because his side has heard about the issuance of the Executive Board Decree for the MDP result, but to date, it has never been shown.

“Hopefully, that did not happen. But if it did, we would certainly regret it very much. We hope that the Minister of Law truly implements the law,” he said.
