PB ORADO officially joins KONI Pusat
Jakarta (ANTARA) – The National Domino Sport Federation (PB ORADO) has officially become a member of the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) Pusat after the decision was taken at the National Working Conference (Rakernas) and Extraordinary National Sports Conference (Musornaslub) KONI 2026 in Jakarta on Thursday.
The Vice Chairman III of KONI Pusat for Organisation, Major General (Ret.) Andrie T.U. Soetarno, said that ORADO had met the organisational and coaching prerequisites to become part of KONI Pusat.
“And officially ORADO can become a member of KONI Pusat, agreed,” Andrie said at the Musornaslub KONI 2026.
Andrie outlined that ORADO is currently growing significantly despite its relatively short existence, yet it has demonstrated growth in both administration and athlete development in the regions.
This is seen as a crucial asset in building domino as a structured and competitive sport.
PB ORADO’s General Chairman Yooky Tjahrial welcomed the federation’s official entry into KONI Pusat membership and expressed hope that this important momentum will continue to drive its organisation forward.
“This is not only recognition of the organisation, but also a sign of trust that domino has great potential to develop as a high-performance sport,” Yooky said.
According to him, status as a KONI Pusat member will become a foundation for ORADO to strengthen athlete development, expand organisational structures, and improve the quality of competition across provinces and regencies/cities.
“We want to build domino not merely as a community game, but as a strategic sport with a sustainable coaching system capable of producing high-achieving athletes,” he said.
Yooky added that PB ORADO will continue to strengthen organisational consolidation at the provincial and district/city levels as part of developing domino nationwide.
With ORADO joining KONI Pusat as a member, domino now enters a new phase as a sport that is beginning to be integrated into the national sports development system.
