The National Domino Sports Board (PB ORADO) is opening a structured pathway for the development and recruitment of national domino athletes to represent Indonesia in various official competitions. The selection process is being carried out systematically in accordance with competitive sporting standards.

PB ORADO has confirmed that its development mechanisms are aligned with regulations set by the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI). This step forms part of the organisation’s commitment to establishing domino as a professionally managed, accountable competitive sport governed by legitimate institutional structures.

“We are developing athletes not only in terms of game technique and strategy, but also in competitive mentality, sportsmanship, and sporting ethics. Domino as a competitive sport must uphold the values of fair play,” said PB ORADO’s Head of Technical and Refereeing Affairs, Isra Prasetya Idris, in an official statement.

The initial stage for prospective athletes requires registration under the auspices of ORADO’s District Branch Committees (Pengcab) and Provincial Committees (Pengprov). Data collection is conducted administratively and integrated into a regional athlete database.

Athletes will subsequently undergo a tiered development system based on KONI’s competitive sport framework. The programme encompasses regular and structured training sessions, strategic reinforcement and game analysis, competitive mental conditioning, and education in sportsmanship and sporting ethics — spanning from the district and municipal level through to provincial and national tiers.

Athletes are also required to compete in official championships such as Kejurcab (district championships), Kejurda (regional championships), and Kejurnas (national championships) organised by ORADO. Performance achievements at these events serve as the basis for selection into regional and national teams through an open and objective selection system.

Furthermore, high-performing athletes will be recommended by their Provincial ORADO Committees for inclusion in PB ORADO’s development athlete roster, based on their competition track record and performance achievements.

PB ORADO has emphasised integrity as the fundamental cornerstone of its development programme. Athletes are required to uphold fair play values, reject match manipulation, and distance themselves from gambling practices in order to preserve the dignity of domino as a national competitive sport.
