Paying Vehicle Tax in Central Java Now Possible Without Previous Owner's ID
SEMARANG - The Central Java provincial government is now offering a facility for paying motor vehicle tax (PKB) without the previous owner’s ID card. Based on a post from the official Instagram account of Bapedan Jateng on Friday (24/4/2026), this policy takes effect from 24 April to 31 December 2026 and can be utilised at all Samsat offices in the Central Java region. The programme is expected to ease the process for the public in fulfilling vehicle administrative obligations, particularly for owners of used vehicles who frequently encounter obstacles with prior owners’ identity documents.
