Pay PBB Earlier, Jakarta Residents Can Get Discounts Up to 10 Percent
The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is providing incentives for the 2026 Rural and Urban Land and Building Tax (PBB-P2) in the form of discounts for residents who make early payments. This scheme is implemented to encourage compliance while alleviating the burden on the public. Head of the Jakarta Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda), Lusiana Herawati, stated that the incentive policy is a continuation of the previous year’s programme, which was deemed effective in increasing tax payment compliance. The DKI Provincial Government is offering tiered discounts for taxpayers who pay PBB early in 2026. According to Lusiana, this staggered discount scheme is designed to encourage the public not to delay tax payments. In addition to providing relief, the policy is also expected to smooth regional revenue. “In addition to easing the burden, timely payments also contribute to Jakarta’s development as a global city,” she said. The DKI Provincial Government provides PBB exemptions of up to 100 percent for houses with an assessed taxable value (NJOP) of up to Rp 2 billion and apartments up to Rp 650 million. This exemption applies only to one house owned by the taxpayer and is specifically for individuals whose data has been validated in the online tax system. Bapenda DKI Jakarta reminds the public to take advantage of the various incentives provided during the 2026 period, while supporting city development through tax compliance.
