Patuh 2026 Traffic Operation Begins Today, Targeting 11 Offences
The National Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas Polri) has officially launched the nationwide Patuh 2026 operation today, Monday (26 October), which will run until 8 November.
In an official statement, Korlantas said 11 violations would be targeted for enforcement using Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) cameras.
Among them are using a mobile phone while driving, and failing to wear a seat belt or a helmet that meets Indonesian National Standard (SNI) requirements.
Enforcement will also target drivers who violate road markings and traffic signs, as well as those who run red lights.
Motorists travelling against the flow of traffic or exceeding the speed limit are also among the targets. Police will additionally focus on motorcyclists carrying more than one passenger, vehicles entering bus lanes, and vehicles parked on pavements.
Another offence is using a motor vehicle registration plate (TNKB) that does not comply with regulations.
“Obey all traffic rules during the Patuh 2026 operation, from 26 October to 8 November 2026,” Korlantas Polri wrote on social media on Sunday (25 October).
“Let us avoid potential violations detected by ETLE cameras in order to protect our own safety and that of other road users,” the post added.
