JAKARTA - The Patimban Port Package 6 project in West Java, undertaken by PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk or WIKA, has achieved 85.25% progress and is targeted to be completed and ready for operation in October 2026.

As the Patimban Port project is progressively completed, the port area has begun to be utilised and will continue to be developed to optimise national logistics capacity and services.

The scope of work for Package 6 includes the construction of port structures (quay wall), reclamation of the container yard area, as well as mechanical and electrical (ME) works.

This project is part of the development of Patimban Port as one of Indonesia’s new logistics hubs.

Several major works have been completed, including the construction of port structures and sand filling works for reclamation.

Currently, ongoing works include the construction of rigid structures as well as mechanical and electrical installations to support the port’s operational readiness.

WIKA’s President Director, Agung Budi Waskito, stated that this project is part of strategic efforts to strengthen national logistics connectivity.

“Patimban Port Package 6 is part of strategic efforts to strengthen national logistics connectivity. WIKA is committed to completing this project on time with the best quality,” he said in a press release on Tuesday (21/4/2026).

The construction of Patimban Port Package 6 is also expected to support the reduction of the burden on Tanjung Priok Port.

This will increase logistics cost efficiency in the West Java industrial corridor and strengthen the integration of the Rebana Metropolitan area (Cirebon–Patimban–Kertajati).

In addition, this project plays a role in increasing national export capacity, particularly in the automotive sector.

Through this project, WIKA reaffirms its role in supporting national strategic infrastructure development to drive economic growth and connectivity in various regions of Indonesia.
